Is he getting senile? Seriously, the comments he's been making lately are causing me so much grief...people look at him, or listen to him, and judge me, because we both call ourselves Christians.

I'm seriously considering either renouncing or redeeming the word "Christian" because of people like Pat Robertson. For an even better one...see the comments Franklin Graham made after Katrina on one of the morning shows. I was so disgusted, I actually had to turn off the television.

I'd like to say to Pat Robertson, who tries to speak on behalf of 'Christians': "I'm taking away your microphone because you do *not* speak for me."

I am in agreement that The Reverend Robertson has said some really 'stupid' things and things that are damaging to the name of Jesus... because that is the main issue.... it isn't MY name that is important is it? Nope... if I am goign to get offended it isn't because someone is making ME look bad... but becasue someone is trading ont he name of Jesus... that is the worst offense.

My other point is this...and please don't hear this as judgemental... The LORD has really been working on my heart with this lately so I respond here to mayself as well as the previous comments... If you have an issue with Pat Robertson... write him and e-mail... try to call his office and let him know how you feel and that you are offended... as a brother in Christ! That is what scripture says... if he sends you a scathing letter of rebuke for questioning him and you want to post that... that is a different story but lets make sure we are going to the brother first.

Again... i am speaking probably more to myeself than to anyone else here... but those who claim to follow Jesus and are in the public spotlight need our prayer and to hear our concerns probably more than anyone else because the rest of the world looks at them and says "christian". And no... it isn't 'fair' but neither is life... we are just supposed to live as Jesus told us to... and so that is my challenge to myself and to my brothers and sisters in Christ!
